Harmonizing Yin and Yang (China)
Explore the balance of yin and yang as we journey throughout China from a spiritual perspective. As we merge our regular meditation and yoga practice with the traditions of Taoism, Confusionism, Buddhism, and Chinese Medicine, we will come closer to understanding how to achieve an inner state of balance and peace. Throughout the journey we will move towards achieving a state of harmony within the mind-body-soul, work- family- spiritual life, and the inner masculine-feminine. This journey will help you to experience a profound state of peace, inner strength and equanimity.
Beijing- Arrival by 3 pm. Evening opening circle, meditation and sharing. Setting intentions and introducing the Taoist, Buddhist and Confucius traditions and how they relate to our journey.
Morning yoga before we explore Beijing-Summer Palace, Tea Ceremony, Chinese Opera, Evening Meditation.
Great Wall- We will connect to the silence of the mountains, and strengthen our will power as we trek along the Great Wall of China. Throughout the trek we will take time to contemplate, meditate, practice Yoga, and connect more deeply to the Taoist Traditions of the I-Ching, and our outer/ inner Yin and Yang.
Beijing to Guilin to Yangshuo – Morning flight from Beijing to Guilin. We will then travel south to Yangshuo. Here we will rest and explore this beautiful town for of 70,000 Karst Towers. Optional massages. Evening Restorative yoga.
Yangshuo- Morning Yoga/Taichi- Head off for a day of pushing the limits of our minds and bodies with Rock Climbing. Evening group sharing.
Yangshuo- Morning Yoga and meditation-An introduction to Chinese medicine with a local Chinese Doctor, reflexology, and opportunity to receive acupuncture and cupping. Sunset hike to Moon Hill.
Yangshuo-Morning Kayak down the Li Jiang amongst the rice patties, local villages, water buffalo and Karst towers. Lunch in local village, with fan painting and calligraphy. Evening Meditation and contemplation.
Yangshuo-Morning Yoga and Tai Chi – Head off for a day of Biking through local villages and rice fields, and learn to cook happy healthy Chinese Food in a beautiful village.
Longshen- Depart early morning for Longshen for trekking along the rice terraces. Yoga and evening at a village guesthouse with delicious local cuisine, stars, and sharing.
Longshen- Morning Mountainside Yoga and meditation. A day of silent trekking through beautiful villages, inspiring views, and an opportunity to go deeper into a state of meditation. Evening meditation and family dinner.
Longshen to Yangshuo- Sunrise Mediation and free movement. Morning Trekking and return to Yangshuo in the afternoon. Evening closing dinner, sharing and relaxation.
Yangshuo/Guilin-Closing circle and integration. Breakfast and farewell…We will help to organize onward travel depending on flight times and next destination.
