Training
As part of our commitment to raising the standard of outdoor guiding in China, we have dedicated ourselves to becoming certified trainers in valuable areas:
We are proud to announce that Sun Lingye, one of our founders, recently became the first Chinese national to be certified to teach wilderness first aid courses in China through the prestigious Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA). Courses offered are Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA), Bridge (WFA to WAFA), and Wilderness First Responder (WFR).
Terratribes also employs two certified Leave No Trace Trainers, Carla Foggin and Chelsea Roper. In addition to being able to train clients in Leave No Trace ethics (LNT), our company has also become the first partners with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics in Mainland China.
Chinese Mountaineering and Development Institute is the premier trainer of mountain guides in China. They not only set the standard for safety and procedures for mountain guiding, but are also responsible for a large portion of climbing development within China. Jack, our other founder, is constantly facilitating trainings throughout China and France in order to produce safe, proficient mountain guides in China.
