Guangxi

Located in the south of China, bordering Vietnam, Yunnan province, Guizhou province, Hunan province, Guangdong province and The South China Sea, Guangxi is famous for its Karst peaks, meandering rivers, beaches and unique cultures exhibited through The Zhuang and many other minority people. Guangxi is also the foremost region for school outdoor education programs. With great weather throughout the year we can organize activities for all four seasons.

Yangshuo, a small picturesque Chinese village, is situated on the banks of the Li River in Guangxi province, 560 kilometers northwest of Guangzhou. This region is dominated by limestone karst: steep tree covered mounds ranging from 100-300m high. Yangshuo makes the most of its natural beauty and caters well to travelers’ needs by offering a variety of adventurous activities such as rock climbing, caving, and bike riding and hiking. While maintaining its traditional laid-back feel, Yangshuo has a surprisingly large international community drawn by the traditional lifestyle, stunning environment and abundance of outdoor activities.
 
Longsheng is a mountainous region in northern Guangxi. The varied terrain includes bamboo covered hillsides next to rice terraces clinging to the sides of 800 meter peaks. Longsheng is approximately a 3-hour drive outside of Guilin. It is one of the first areas to be settled in southern China,  and today has a population of less than 200,000 comprising various minority tribes including Zhuang, (Ping An and Longji villages) and the Red Yao (Zhonglu, Dazhai).
 

Types Guangxi School Programs
 

Adventure Programs: Our adventure trips can be designed to suit all ages and experience, from base camp activities (climbing, Abseiling, swimming etc) to high school multi day expedition trekking.

Educational Programs: Our Educational trips provide a unique insight into both the environmental and cultural aspects of Guangxi province, as well providing an ideal location for fieldwork, in subjects such as Geography, biology, Social/cultural studies and Tourism.

Service Programs: Local village community services and local school community service can be carried out in close proximity to towns such as Yangshuo, Guilin and Longshen, allowing us to easily combine an element of service work within your program.

Mixed Programs: Combine multi day hiking with service work, cultural exploration and climbing. Pick and choose activities according to your learning objectives.
