IB Creativity Action Service (CAS)
Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) is an integral component and core requirement of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
During the three years that students are involved in the IB program, at least three hours per week must be dedicated toward these of activities. They are involved in their own self-evaluation, supported by their school supervisors.
Creativity encourages students to be actively engaged in the arts, whether performance, visual, musical or any other form of creativity. This area can also include the creativity used to design service projects.
Action not only includes individual and team sports, but expeditions and international projects.
Service involves active citizenship within the community, through contributing volunteering hours, creating special projects or other initiatives.
Terratribes is pleased to support CAS initiatives through programs with some of China's most prestigious international schools. We are able to assist in designing and implenting service projects, organizing backcountry programs, and providing students with an outlet for their creativity in the outdoors.
Please visit the IB website for more information, and contact us to begin designing your CAS program in rural China.
