Tyrolean and Abseiling

One of the most exhilarating activities Terratribes has to offer, the tyrolean (zip line) and abseil is consistently ranked as one of our customers’ favorite activities. Clients will hike up to Treasure Cave, the spectacular open ended cave we use for this activity. They will then traverse from one side of the cave to the other on the zip line, and then abseil down to the base of this amazing natural feature, under the instruction and safety of Terratribes guides. Clients will be introduced to all the necessary zip lining and abseiling skills and procedures, so that they a gain a real understanding of the systems involved.

 
Aims of activity:

• “Challenge by Choice”: Clients have the opportunity to push themselves mentally and physically during the activity. By choosing to take on a challenge of their own level, clients will gain a greater sense of their own limits and frequently accomplish far more than they initially thought possible
   
• Gaining an understanding of the safety systems involved and using this to overcome fears and gain confidence in the process
   
• Encouraging team mates and helping motivate each other towards higher levels of personal achievement in an adventurous environment
   
• Have fun! 

Preparation:  Clients need to bring comfortable clothing and wear appropriately sturdy shoes for hiking up to the cave
